The Small Business Server 2011 Essentials edition license is a HP OEM license. This means the server and license are married for the life of the server.

You will receive the first 90 days of installation and configuration support* for the license at no charge from HP.

You can purchase Software Assurance** from Microsoft within the first 90 days to allow the license to receive many additional benefits, see this Microsoft site:
